Moving jumplist in Vim with tab displayed elsewhere

I mapped the <Tab> key to switch buffers. However, since <Tab> equivalent to <Ctrl-I> , I cannot navigate through jumplist.

Is there a way to map jumplist navigation to some other key (e.g. g, and g. ) So that I can use <Tab> independently?

Yes, just use nore when defining maps.

 nnoremap g, <Co> nnoremap g. <Ci>

nore tells vim not to respect the cards on the right side of the display.
