Playing media in MPMoviePlayerController is a fallback option in my application - usually uses UIWebView. I need a list of typical file extensions for media types supported by MPMoviePlayerController. Anybody have?
I do not need a list of supported media types. I need a list of possible file extensions for these types.
Edit Further clarification in response to sch's answer, Apple's documentation just mentions the following file extensions:
.mov .mp4 .mpv .3gp
I would be interested to know, at least, if iOS can be played as follows (and therefore it supports MPMoviePlayerController) or any others that I can ignore:
- mp3 (I know this is supported)
- Wav
- Aif
- Aiff
- the middle
- midi
- m4p
- mpa
- au
- wma
- ram
- rm
- Ogg
