Can Java's built-in recursive methods (JIT)?

This question says it all. I looked. Can a recursive function be inline? , so I'm trying to match this with Java.

Grade. Tail-recursive methods can be converted quite easily into loops. Otherwise, the JITC may include several calls as a kind of “deploy”.

Depends on the moon phase and day of the week, however - many different factors influence JITC decisions.
