H264 High Quality / Performance Encoding Recommendation for Video Encoding?

I am looking for a video encoder that is fast, requires less processor power and produces good quality mp4 video.

Input videos can be in any format and downloaded by users.

The only thing I know is the FFMPEG library.

Is there anything else that is better?

The program should have an interesting batch utility (exe).

I would be grateful if you would kindly share your knowledge.

thanks

Use x264 . It is fast and flexible to fit your needs. Other H.264 video encoders are undesirable compared to it, and this is not just my opinion. You can use it directly or through ffmpeg . You can get the latest FFmpeg builds for Windows, OS X, and Linux through the FFmpeg download page . See the following answers for more information on determining the encoding options that will work for you:

If you intend to display output files on a progressive website, consider using the -movflags faststart option. It will move a small amount of data to the beginning of the file so that it can start playing before the file is fully downloaded.

I highly recommend HandBrake . It has a good exe (and there are several batch programs that use the HandBrake CLI, here is one example . I have not used it, but it looks like I used others.) It also has a good CLI , which I used to develop my own project (a bit outdated ) Anyway, I hope this is useful: D
