How to kill a process / request in DB2

I am trying to optimize a query. After each change, I have to wait a long time for the request to be completed. It really is a lot of time. Is there a way to see completed requests and kill / stop them?

At the DB2 instance command line, you can enter

db2 list applications show detail

In this list you should find your process, pay attention to the application identifier. You can use this command to kill it:

 db2 force application (xx)

Where xx is the identifier (or comma delimited list of identifiers).

Here is the article for the DB2 for Linux / Unix / Windows v9.7 Information Center for FORCE APPLICATION and here is for LIST APPLICATIONS . For both of these commands, you must have the correct privileges for the database instance (most often SYSADM or SYSCTRL ).
