Credit Card Swiper Format

I have a magnetic card reader and am trying to parse the information on my ColdFusion website to send it to PayPal. However, I cannot get the three-digit CV code on the back. Here is the format I get:

%B4444555566667777^DOE/JOHN G^10051010101010106000000?;4444555566667777=10051010101010106000000?

So, from this I can get: Name: John
Middle Name: G
Surname: Doe
Card number: 4444555566667777
Expiration: 05/10

Where can I get this three-digit number, which is on the back? Or do I need it? Is this a different number when you scroll the map?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

the CV / CVV code on the reverse side is not encoded in any way on the magnetic strip, it is printed on the card to make sure that the person using it has an actual physical card.

Since a magnetic strip is easily created if someone breaks into a card database and receives card numbers, a CVV code has been added to add an additional, non-electronic security measure. Since CVV cannot be stored, it will never be in the database.

CVV code is not included in magnetic data - it cannot be read by a reader. If you need a CVV number, specify a place to enter it.
