I am looking for a way to send printed documents directly to our Document Management System (DMS). My idea is a kind of "printer interceptor" that captures all the data that they are going to send to the printer from the application, sends it to my DMS and sends the printer data to the evaluation printer.
This interceptor should take care of any printer. Thus, it may be something that is added directly to the queue manager. Another idea is that the interceptor can be a printer to be selected from the window printer selection window. This printer interceptor itself is configured to redirect data to another printer driver.
Is there anything I can use, or do I need to write a printer driver from scratch? Is my idea possible at all?

In addition: if possible, I want to store plain text, not an image. Therefore, I need my interceptor to work before all data is converted to printer control signals.
