Hide Android app in long press mode-HOME-button-menu

Question

I want to hide my Android application from (and only from) the menu that appears when you hold the HOME button for a long time after its completion. Is there any way to do this? The finish () call does not programmatically perform the trick.

There are many threads about hiding the application from the launchpad and task manager, but this is not what I want, I just don’t want it to appear in this “application history”.

Add android:excludeFromRecents="true" to any <activity> element in the manifest for any activity that should not appear in the list of recent tasks.
