Stop Eclipse from spelling email addresses

I am using Eclipse 3.7SR2 and I have a problem with spell checking Java editor denoting email addresses:

I may be a little obsessive, but I really don’t like to see these red spots - if not for any other reason, then only because real spelling mistakes may be missed in the crowd.

Is there a way to fix this on an ongoing basis without completely disabling spell checking?

UPDATE:

Adding a β€œword” to a question (e.g. @example.com ) in a user dictionary manually and restarting Eclipse does not seem to solve this problem.

You can force Eclipse to ignore email addresses using the User Dictionary:

  • Go to Window β†’ Settings
  • Expand the panels to see General > Editors > Text Editors > Writing .
  • In the User dictionary field, enter the full path for the text file to which you want to save the dictionary. Or use the browse button if you already have a text file somewhere.
  • Edit the file you just specified in the text editor and enter the two parts of the email address in separate lines; for example, for an example in this question you will need to add "john" and "example.com".
  • Repeat for any new email domains or usernames that have spell check flags.

This solution is not obvious, because the spellchecker also underscores the "@" character. But if "@ example.com" is added to the dictionary, it does not stop spell checking. You must manually add the domain, excluding "@".

Um, I can not find it. On the other hand, an inelegant decision involves including capitalization in the email address.

So, bharal@gmail.com will get an error, but bharal@gMail.com will not. Or bharal@Gmail.com , which is better read.
