Heroku SSL on a subdomain for an intermediate server

I have a production instance on Heroku where users go to https://secure.myapp.com for verification. I used SSL based on the host name because $ 100 / month is just not suitable for my client.

Now I’m in a situation where I need an intermediate environment ( http://myapp-staging.herokuapp.com ), and the SSL / subdomain stuff just doesn’t work (“safe” replaces “myapp-staging”) when switching to verification, and the certificate The SSL that I purchased will not work, as it is tied to myapp.com .

Can anyone advise what the most affordable installation is provided for this situation?

Thanks!

If you need to replicate your production environment, then you will need to install and pay the same SSL as your production site.

An alternative would be to configure your application so that it does not depend on "safe". and use the piggyback SSL addon.
