Maven email plugin

Question

After running ' mvn deploy ' or ' mvn release ', do I want to send email to users on the mailing list?

Is there any maven plugin that does this?

I would recommend doing this only if mvn is released: prepare the release: run and use the maven-changes-plugin that handles such things exactly.
