Update the app in the AppStore: view the time and bid in the store?

This is so frustrating! I downloaded our application in the AppStore, and after 8 days it was approved, then I downloaded it and found that the accelerometer was stuck!

so I went to itunes connect, changed the release date to the future, removed all the stores in the world and said: deleted by the developer. that's what i wanted. instead of deleting.

then after a couple of hours: I found the error, changed it, downloaded the update (1.1), and now its "waiting for verification" again.

questions:

  • Is this the whole process again? exactly? one more week?
  • My place in the app store: will it be as soon as I publish a new app? so will they put me in new apps in the store? (as it was the first time)? OR did they just put you in the end somewhere?

I mean that you get the same opportunity to be IN THE FRONT LINE FOR THE WHOLE - as a new application (I was in 10th place of new releases)?

edit: the problem is that I sent the update to an application that is no longer in the store, because I removed all stores from it and changed the release date to a future one. so I wonder if in this case I will not be rejected, because this is an update for somthing that is not in the store and is not available for any store in the world! this is the only way for me to remove it from the store and not erase it!

Many thanks.

1) Yes. The validation process will again start from scratch when updating your application.

2) Your application in version 1.0 is already working - when you publish an update (or a new application in general) that receives approval, there is a tiny tiny chance that it can choose in the “What's Hot” section of your main category on the Appstore. It will also appear in the "All Applications" section as an application that has been recently released or updated.

Any rank in the charts will not be affected by the update - but the update, as a rule, increases interest and visibility.

Hope this helps!

Each time you submit your app to iTunes Connect, it must go through the review process. Yes, even for updates. But often updates are approved faster, especially if you simply state that one or two errors have been fixed. I do not know about the rating, but I doubt that the update affects it.
