What is the best way to create an android app-server system that can play live?

I am a developer from korea. (sorry for my broken english earlier :()

I will make an Android application that can play streaming video in real time (1 min, 6 ~ 7 Mb) using a web server. (At least 20,000 ~ 30,000 users can connect to this at the same time) I don’t want to spend my time creating a server, DB..etc, so I decided to use the Google mechanism to work to make it easy.

However, one of my colleagues told me that the Google engine for applications is not suitable for the streaming service, and he recommended using the google engine service with Google cloud storage.

My first question is: what is now useful with Google Maps with the Google service? If so, it provides good streaming quality (even Korea, not the US. I mean the location of the IDC)

Second question: If not, what about using the Google application engine with the mobile streaming hosting service in Korea? perhaps?

appengine is not intended for streaming. The google repository is in beta and you don’t want to create your product using the beta product. The google storage is for a static file, you want to live. so even if google repository is not working, I do not think that it will satisfy your needs. if you have a separate CDN for streaming, you can use appengine. you can see my proof of concept here appengine + android streaming radio station http://poc-radio.aunndroid.com
