Net.Socket.writable, net.Socket.readable are not part of official node.js API

I wonder why the properties of net.Socket.writable and net.Socket.readable are not included in the official node.js API? Does this mean that it is better not to use these properties, since this is an internal material that may change in the future?

They are - but not where you look. readable and writable are streams properties that net.Socket inherits net.Socket . See stream.readable and stream.writable respectively.
