Link to the application profile page with the application

Recently, we accidentally removed the connection between the vanity URL and our application profile page; however, the Go to Application button has also been removed from the application’s profile page.

Questions:

  • Is there a way to display the "Go to application" button on the application profile page (so that our users can access the application?

  • Is there a way to reconnect (re-associate) two pages (Page URL and application profile page).

It seems that the only connection option that we give on the admin page is to create a new community page and connect it to the App - (we assume that this option will not work for us, since we have already moved it once, everything likes to return in December / January when we created the Vanity URL page.

No, where can we find the answer either for reconnecting or for displaying the "Go to Application" button on the "Application Profile" page, even if the category is already set to "Product"> "Application"). We appreciate your help.

Looks like you're in a pickle.

It looks like Facebook has removed the ability to link an existing page to the application - something that was added before they deleted the application profile pages. If you get in touch with Facebook, maybe they can link them to each other differently. As for the manual approach, you're out of luck.

You tried to use the merge page. Create a new page for your application, and then name it just like on the page where you have everything you like. Now go to this page (with sympathy) and edit the details → resources and click on the merge pages.
