Jquery slide out div to the right

Question

I am trying to achieve a “right slide” effect on a div using jquery. I can achieve this in part, but not in the way I need it. I installed fiddle .

The div pops up fine, but the text inside it wraps when switched. Is there a way to prevent text flowing around? I went through other SO posts but couldn't find a solution. I would ask you to give an example, if possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could obviously make it more specific, for example: #home p. This is your call.
