Server Connector on Windows Phone

I am migrating the application to the Windows Phone platform. I spent a lot of time reading the MSDN documentation, and I could not find anything on this.

Is it possible to create sockets on a Windows Phone? Everything that I found is connected with the client side, for example, with connecting to remote computers. I can not find anything else: the phone acts as a server.

Some essential methods, such as Bind and Listen, are not displayed by the Socket class included in the Windows Phone 7.1 SDK.

It was a surprise to me.

Any help or confirmation regarding this will be truly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You cannot open the socket for listening from the Windows Phone 7. This is primarily due to the complexities of cellular data networks, such as the use of transparent proxies, shared IP addresses and frequent communication failures.

Prior to Windows Phone 8, you won’t be able to listen to sockets, you need to use an intermediate service to listen / send between two or more phones.

I do not know about the "server", but it has UDP functions and can send data through it and send / receive using TCP.

In addition, I found that the SDK does not have some APIs for interacting with the phone. ex no Bluetooth or cannot switch between the internal and headphones for sound through developer programming.
