The problem with the Fn key is that many keyboards do not implement it as a regular key, but as a modifier that simultaneously changes the key messages of other keys.
So, here is an example scenario of how Windows can see your input:
Push F1 down - Windows gets F1 code down
Push F1 Up - Windows will Receive F1 Extension Code
Press Fn down - Windows wonβt receive anything. Press F1 down - Windows receives media βΆ down code
Press F1 up - Windows will receive a multimedia file βΆ up code
Press Fn up - Windows will not get anything
