Action Mailer does not work with sendmail

Question

I am trying to send mail using sendmail. When sending mail, I do not get errors in the logs, but when I look at my mailbox, the mail does not exist, even in the spam folder. I get the information in the mail.log file from my var / log directory, but cannot figure out what I need to change to make it work.

Here is my part of development.rb:

In my user_mailer.rb, I have this:

 default :from => " [e-mail] " 

Also i tried

 config.action_mailer.sendmail_settings = { :arguments => '-i -t -f [e-mail] '}

I tried installing telnet mx.freenet.de 25 and got a connection. I would really appreciate any help.

ActionMailer works correctly and sends a postfix message via sendmail api.

But postfix bounces off the message because the sender name in the HELO command is localhost.localhost.

Set the node and sender name on the rails and it should work better.

Perhaps you need to set the host at the operating system level (and not on the rails). Ask in the superuser list. See what happens when you give the hostname command to the OS. If it returns "localhost.localhost", then the first problem is to fix it.
