Non-English languages on Android simulator

I would like to enter something in Russian into a text field in my Android application in an Android simulator. How can i do this? By default, I can only print English. I tried to install the Russian keyboard in the settings, but that did not help. I think it will be the same for other languages. When I change the keyboard layout on my MacBook and try to enter it using the MacBook keyboard, I can only print English letters. The same is for the browser when I try to enter something into the Google search box - I can’t find out how to type Russian.

It may not be supported at all. It looks like you should use a custom keyboard view and implement the logic yourself. See this for more details. I should mention that the OS does not even have a Bulgarian keyboard.

Install russian-keyboard_1.5.4_r70.apk from http://acer-a500.ru/programs/927-programma-dlya-podderzhki-vneshney-usb-klaviatury.html

from the command line (must be in the same directory as the APK) adb install "russian-keyboard_1.5.4_r70.apk"

Turn on the Russian keyboard (in the language settings) and select it as the input method (after a long press on any text input field).

He also has Ukrainian language :)

Have you tried changing the default Android language in the emulator? I do not mean the keyboard language, but the Android locale . Check it out .
