Can I change and update the application metadata after submitting the application for viewing?

I just sent my application to view. Now I want to make tiny tricks to my application metadata, is that allowed? I tried to do this and then save the changes, it is always a timeout for several times what I tried. Therefore, I wonder if this is due to the fact that further changes are not allowed after sending the application for verification. Can anyone confirm / explain?
