Avoid skinning an item under Delphi XE2

The Delphi XE2 skins option is fantastic, but there are times when you want to tell Delphi to leave an element or form alone. In my case, I have a splash shape that was completely created inside Delphi - and this is destroyed because the skin implicitly redefines all colors.

Is there a way to tell Delphi or the skins engine that it should leave one control or form?

I would try using something like this (has not been tested)

TStyleManager.Engine.RegisterStyleHook(TYourSplashForm, TStyleHook);
