How to start a debugger using FlashDevelop?

I am trying to debug my AS3 project, I get this status message:

Waiting for Flash Player to debug

But then nothing happens, it looks like the flash player cannot connect to the debugger? Here are my settings:

FlashViewer: External Flash path: C: \ Program Files (x86) \ FlashDevelop \ Tools \ flexlibs \ runtimes \ player \ 11.1 \ win \ FlashPlayerDebugger.exe

FlashDebugger: The source paths are empty.

I am using FlashDevelop 4.01 RTM, Flex 4.5 SDK

Can someone help please! I am using the Flash debugger Player 11.1, Windows 7 Thanks in advance.

This is not a flash development error, it is a window error and incorrect association + this is a reluctance to allow you to disable the default values for running swf.

Solution: Just download the latest debuggers, in particular the projector content debugger, from this location http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

After you download it, in flash development go to tools> program settings> FlashViewer and set the external path to the location of your file.

Exit the flash to make sure the settings are saved, and then open it again to use it as you like.

I encountered this problem when installing FlashDevelop on a new PC, and the reason for this error was that I did not yet have a system level mapping for .swf files. I just went to my output file, selected open with .., went to the location of the debug player, and then the debugger started correctly when I started the game from FlashDevelop.
