Android slider

I am working on a project that requires a button click only after there will be a translucent screen. This allows you to access the main button (press Me, in the picture). I would like the top screen to be translucent so that the user can see the button behind it, but I would also like to have buttons (green buttons 1, 2 and 3) on the top screen. Are there any good tutorials on this? I looked, but did not find much that ties a lot. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I would also like to know how complicated this is since I am new to Java / Android. Here is an illustration to give you a better idea of what I want:

It will be similar to how the iPhone has a screen that can be removed from above, but it is always down and can be moved up. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks!

I created something like what you are trying to do. Sorry, I can’t post the code, as this is part of the company I work for. However, here is what I did.

I copied the source of SlidingDrawer.java to my project and made sure that it worked in the first place as expected. I began to modify it to crawl from above, not from below. Took me a little time, but it was good to study.

Good luck
