I recently started using Emacs for editing. When I edit files in English (for example, program sources) - everything is in order. But when I start editing in my own language, I have problems.

For example, usually we have a Ce shortcut to go to the end of the line. But when I switch my own keyboard layout, emacs starts complaining that "C is not defined."

Is there a way to instruct it to match its own characters with ascii characters when entering commands?
