Jira & Greenhopper - How to show the total number of points per column in the target panel instead of the total hours

Using Jira 4.4 and Greenhopper 5.8.4

On TaskBoard, I would like to show the total number of plot points for the column (state), and not the total number of hours.

Any help would be appreciated.

Good question and obvious function request - I don’t think that this is currently possible, and there is already a related (though not identical) user story:

At the moment, it seems that there is not much attention, therefore, to increase the likelihood that it will be available, you can add your vote / comment there to generalize this requirement and / or create a special story dedicated to a specific use case.

Remember, however, that it was planned to replace the Task Board with a new and much more flexible Rapid Board , as soon as the latter includes all the functions (well, at least guess, at least, in fact, at least), available under the Target groups - see The Future of GreenHopper for details, it comes down to:

Rapid Board eliminates the complexity of the existing user interface (projects, contexts, boards, filters, versions, etc.) while maintaining the flexibility of GreenHopper. In fact, with the Rapid Board, GreenHopper is now much more flexible due to our use of the JIRA Query Language.

Fortunately, the GreenHopper team is approaching this transition in a protective and compatible manner, but, obviously, I would not expect any new features to be added to the classic mode under consideration:

In GreenHopper 6.0, we plan to use existing boards (planning, task, diagram, and released boards) in classic mode and the "Quick" name. Existing functionality in planning, task, chart, and released boards will continue to be available for the series until it becomes clear that most customers have a switch.

I created a Javascript solution for displaying plot points on Scrum / Kanban boards.

script is tied to this jira issue.

As a temporary measure, I wrote an SQL query to retrieve this data:

select v.vname as theVersion, s.pname as statusName, sum(cfv.numbervalue) as totalStoryPoints from jiraissue i join issuestatus s on i.issuestatus = s.ID join nodeassociation a on a.source_node_id = i.id join projectversion v on a.sink_node_id = v.ID join customfield cf on cf.cfname = 'Story Points' join customfieldvalue cfv on cf.ID = cfv.customfield and cfv.ISSUE = i.ID group by v.vname, s.pname
