What is the state of PhoneStateListener when answering an outgoing call?

I want to know when an outgoing call will be answered in my application. I am using the onCallStateChanged() method from the PhoneStateListener class. I look at Logcat when it answers an outgoing call to find out what state it is in (IDLE, OFFHOOK or Ringing). According to the documentation, I think it will go into OFFHOOK , but it is not. Any ideas on how I can answer an outgoing call?

The state of the phone is Phonestate.Offhook , since you answer the call by disconnecting the phone, this is obvious.
