Webcam to test the camera in Android AVD?

Can I use my webcam connected to the AVD to test the camera and its functionality?

In some articles, I read that Android 3.0+ supports this feature. Is it possible?

I also get a cam connection dialog when my webcam is connected, when I start my AVD.

Using Eclipse.

  • AVD Manager
  • Edit the AVD.
  • Hardware> New:
  • Configures the back of the camera = "webcam0" (use the drop-down list).

Run the project using this AVD.
