Phonegap Geolocation - how do I know if my user is suitable for landmarks?

Can someone give me a simplified overview, how could I tell if my user was near, say, a particular retail store or landmark, etc.?

I know how to get geolocation api phone records agreements, but not sure how to determine which is close to this?

This, in fact, is that four times, google maps, etc. (hell, they even know what TYPES of companies they are) ...

Can someone tell me please?

Two parts:

• The distance between two lat / lng points - see this answer fooobar.com/questions/587920 / ... (in particular, the part about the distance between lat / lng points).

• Where you get the list of landmarks ... is a big problem. You can try using a service like Frommers or Eventful , or if you are happy to go to Google, use their relatively new Place API (and Google’s solution means you can skip step 1).
