The Hajiri Civil Calendar is predictable. Today you can find out how many days will pass before the first day of the next month. This is not true for a religious calendar. It is based on the ability to observe the new moon. No visible new moon means that a new month has not begun. Computers and encoders cannot handle this very well.

Since you are coding, if you need future dates, you will have to use a civil calendar.

The only thing I could understand from the documentation was that Islamic is a religious / astronomical calendar, while Islamic-civil is a fixed-cycle civil calendar.
