The interval between letters in different browsers

Possible duplicate:
Font and line spacing in different browsers

I need to create the perfect html for a pixel from this project. It uses its own font. I check it in Firefox and Chrome and I see that in Chrome the distance between the letters is greater than in Firefox. Although I need them to look the same. I tried to set the distance between the letters to 0, and that didn't help. How can I get around? What if I use Cufon (don't want to use it, though)?

You will never get the perfect pixel in every browser and platform. Even if the distance between the letters is the same (it seems if you set it to 0), small differences in smoothing can make the letters wider. There is nothing in the CSS specification that would indicate how the browser displays these small details.

Workarounds are Cufon (yech) and Images (yech). Pixel-perfect and the internet are just not good friends.
