How to create a small button with three dots?

I want to create a small button with three dots on it, as we see everywhere in the visual studio, to load the FolderBrowserDialog . What is the best way to create this button? The best I did was get a 23x23 button with the margin and indentation set to 0, three dots for the text (only two will appear) and auto-ellipses (which makes the third point). The button is still much larger than we would like, and the dots do not stand out very well.

You can copy the ellipse character (...) from this message or use Alt-0133 to create it on demand.

 Button.Text = "โ€ฆ";

The button is still much larger than we would like ...

Adjust the font size?

... and the dots don't stand out very well.

Make the font bold? ( ... )

I suggest that if this does not work for you, the image is the next best.

  • Use some dots image.
  • โ˜ผโ˜ผโ˜ผ Use the Windows symbol map to find the points you need and align them / with them in the Text property.

Example: ยทยทยท

This is what we use: Button.Text = "..." .

If it is too large, you can adjust the font size down.

Set the Text button to ... and change its Size property. You can also change the font of the button if necessary.
