Can message topics be persistent in activemq?

Question

I am very new to JMS and ESB. I use activemq as JMS and mule as ESB. When I forward messages from one queue to another with the persistentDelivery jms connector parameter set to true, it saves messages in the target queue after activemq is restarted. But in the case of sending messages from one topic to another, messages are not saved in the target section after a restart.

Is there a restriction on saving messages in case of a topic in activemq?

Themes

differ from each other in that messages are saved only if there is a long-term consumer.
