Why does Silverlight 4 Out-of-Browser just display white?

The Silverlight application works great when running in a browser .

But when I install it as an application outside the browser , the corresponding icon and title appears in the Window frame, but the contents of the window are simply white . It is on the menu , but when I close it and open it again, it is still empty.

I reproduced this on Windows 7 and Windows XP .

What can cause the silverlight application to appear only white when the browser starts?

Here are the settings I used:

I found this: I forgot to wrap some DOM access during initialization, which is apparently too early for OOB to show any error, this fixed this:

if (!Application.Current.IsRunningOutOfBrowser) { ... }
