How can I exclude one type of content from drupal search

How can I exclude one type of content from drupal search. I also use the node_quick_find module to search for autocomplete. Is there any way to do the same.

To remove a content type from a search, you can use the search configuration module. http://drupal.org/project/search_config

It uses permissions to filter out inappropriate types of content.
