Svn diff | view - How to highlight changes based on characters, not just based on strings?

Now I am using svn diff | vim - svn diff | vim - to get colored output. Alas, only the highlighted lines are highlighted, but I want to immediately see the characters that I changed.

I want an effect like github to offer, for example. like this diff .

kompare seems pretty powerful, but I would prefer a console tool.

I am using kompare . This is great for me.

Usage example:

 $ svn di > name.diff $ kompare name.diff 

He also emphasizes words. It is free, beautiful and easy to use :)
