This is not because it uses the default font-size of 1em (which also appears to be the middle between the values ​​for <h3> and <h5> ). However, as others have noted, this may not be true for your browser, and you must really install it yourself if you want to make sure.

The default font size for almost any item is browser dependent. If you want a guaranteed size, install it yourself.

Just looking at your link, it seems to be 1em , that is, the same size as plain text.

I'm not sure about the exact value, but I know that h4 is the same size as the p-element, which in my opinion is 1em by default.
