Problems with MAMP Pro start SQL Server after system cleanup

I have been creating a multi-user Wordpress site in the last two months. All was good:

  • If the local configuration was saved in MAMP using the default ports (FTP was available), this means that I had to edit etc / host and point to the root of the site on disk.
  • If he kept the MAMP folder structure
  • Can switch between default ports and MAMP ports for other sites in development.

After cleaning, MAMP Pro will crash when SQL Server starts.

I was able to fix the error by going to the terminal and changing the line. The last line had my IP address and null right after it. Therefore, when I added wordpress.mu or localhost , the server will start.

But to no avail. I cannot remember the configuration after I intervened in the MAMP settings.

  • I believe that I set an alias and named one of the hosts as wordpress.mu.
  • I had a MAMP pointing to a folder with a different name.
  • The alias was a local host.

And (when testing the site), I would type: localhost.localdomain/sitetitle . This does not work anymore.

Can someone point me to detailed instructions or take off some tips on what I should check? Although this can be easily fixed (at least, I hope), it went a little on my head, as I just exhausted myself from studying possible solutions to problems that I understand.

Thanks in advance to the community, buddies, and web scientists. I love everyone who helps me in my starbucks career. :)

I do not use the Pro version, so I can get a little out of here here, but I would check the following.

Does the MAMP page work? (HTTP: // local: 8888 / MAMP / language = English)

Need to edit your Apache configuration? (httpd.conf) You may not need to use MAMP Pro.

Cannot start MySQL because the instance is already running (look for a process called mysqld in Activity Monitor)?

Do you have a host entry for localhost.localdomain pointing to 127.0.0.1?
