Best way to set text size?

What is the best way to set the size of the text so that it looks the same on all devices? The biggest problem I encountered is setting the size of the text on the buttons so that everything matches or not too small. I tried setting the size in xml and I just tried setting it dynamically, getting the screen size and messing around with the width and height of the screen to set the size. I tested different things on different devices and thought that everything was fine until I just tried my application on Galaxy Nexus, and half of my words were cut off inside the button. I made some adjustments and the font is now too small on tablets.

Using xml works fine for me before, but most of these new 7-inch tablets use a large layout, so my images and text are very small if I set the size, width and size of the text using xml. width and height dynamically helped with button and image sizes, but the font still doesn't look right.

Is it best to find a happy environment through xml (large, x-large, etc.) or other ways?

Have you seen this article: Multiple Screen Support ? It says:

you should prefer sp (scale-independent pixel) to determine text sizes. Scaling factor sp depends on the user settings and the system scales the size in the same way as for dp.
