When connected, my Zebra S4M printer is recognized by Windows using the ZDesigner S4M-203dpi ZPL driver, and I would like to use the "ZDesigner S4M-203dpi EPL" EPL driver.
I tried to install it manually, uninstall the ZPL driver, use the Zebra utility, update the firmware to the latest version, but I did not find the switch option.
I found one answer: http://www.fixya.com/support/t1950296-zebra_sm4_label_printer_change_zpl_epl
You will need to change the firmware on this printer to change the language. I do not believe that this printer will allow you to change the language using the advanced options in the menu, unless they have changed it recently.
I also found a webpage that suggested downloading the old driver for S4M, but I prefer to avoid this. http://www.jamfrance.com/site/support/download.asp?categorie=13
Note. To check if the EPL driver is working, I used a custom application that sends EPL data, and I tried to use the Zebra firmware loader, which has 2 interesting options: Send EPL page and Send ZPL page. You probably guessed that only the ZPL page works.
