Are you allowed to upload your own ads in the iPhone app?

Are you allowed to upload your own ads in the iPhone app? I mean, I want to periodically download some images from the Internet to the application, while my user uses it without using the iAds network. Is it allowed by Apple? I read the AppStore Review Guide and did not find any restrictions if the application is not intended only for advertising.

Yes, it’s allowed, not an entity that threatens Apple’s approval process.

I use iAd, but when ads are unavailable (most of the time) I use my own banner, which refers to the iStore address of my application "fullVersion" (so ... my very personal ad ... but I know examples of applications that others use commercial ads like adsense ...)

Yes. If you want, you can download other online ads. Or just drop your own.
