The easiest way to take a webcam snapshot using java

I am making a program in java. I would like to be able to take pictures from the client’s webcam. I look around, I found some APIs, but I cannot make the heads of the tails of what I downloaded. Does anyone know a really easy way to take pictures in java? Thank you very much!

Well, I would go with JMF or FMJ , they seem to be big names in such things. There is a somewhat similar question here that contains a few more options if both of them are too “heavy” for you. Maybe you should give one of them a shot.
