I can not work with jpeg in delphi xe2

Delphi XE2 does not ship with a unit named Vcl.Imaging.jpeg.pas . It comes with a precompiled DCU file named Vcl.Imaging.jpeg.dcu . You need to link to the precompiled DCU, rather than trying to compile the VCL module. The error message you receive can only occur when you try to compile the device from the source. You cannot receive this message if you pass the precompiled DCU to the linker.

I suspect your .dpr file contains links to a file called Vcl.Imaging.jpeg.pas . Solve the problem by removing the links to Vcl.Imaging.jpeg.pas from your .dpr file. Another explanation is that you have a source file named Vcl.Imaging.jpeg.pas in your search path.

To solve this problem, add the Vcl.Imaging namespace to your application using the menu item "Object Name" Project-> Options-> Delphi-> Unit.

Find the directory where these obj files are located. Make sure the directory is listed on the project search path. (These are not files that you are going to compile for yourself.)

If you do not have these obj files in your Delphi installation, check the installation DVD.
