PayPal IPN - Profile or Notify_URL

Just a quick question related to the last question I posted.

If I specify notify_url for the PayPal IPN, should I have this set in my profile or will PayPal send the same data without it in the profile?

I read the document and it says that I can configure it for adaptive payments, but I do not use adaptive payments.

Basically: If I set notify_url, do I need to set IPN in my profile?

You do not need to include the IPN listener URL in your profile. PayPal sends an IPN message to the listener specified in the notification URL for a specific button or API operation instead of the listener specified in your profile. If you use only one IPN listener, I also installed it in your PayPal profile.
