Disabling unwanted menus in OpenERP

I am new to OpenERP. I need to disable some menus without removing the modules that added the menu. I tried to search for a module that wanted to disable its menu, and then deleted all the search results to get a very disorganized menu. How do I achieve this? I just need to hide the link to two modules in the menu bar and on the home page

If you delete the parent menu, all of its children will appear at the top level. You can also remove all children or simply remove security access from the parent menu for everyone except the administrators group. You can also inactivate the parent menu, rather than deleting it if you do not want to deal with security.

Create a new security group called No One with no users.

Change the resolution of the menu that you want to hide in this group.

It's easy, and you can easily get the menu back if you change your mind.

check out the link below. This link provides an example of hiding UOM in Product. if we do not want to display the Unit in the product configuration. http://pilgrimonerp.wordpress.com/2010/08/25/openerp-hide-menu-item/

The easiest way is to edit the group:

Settings > Users > Groups , select a group, select the items of the second tab ( Security ), add/remove in the "Access" menu.

To disable the menu, you need to go with the ir.menu model.

Settings β†’ technical β†’ views β†’ menu

or
