Android, Logcat window disappeared

I used the Logcat window to debug my application, and to improve the size of the window, I dragged it to the Windows taskbar to separate it, like on any Eclipse panel.

Now when I go to the DDMS point and click Window -> Show View -> Logcat, I don't get the Logcat window at all.

I tried restarting Eclipse and minimizing everything in the hope that the Logcat window would be there, but nothing there.

Has anyone else had such an experience?

Try right-clicking on the DDMS perspective button and select "Reset".

After clicking the DDMS perspective button. Right-click and select Reset.

Perhaps this was minimized (I don't quite understand what you mean by “minimized and tried”).

If you are using a mac, a type icon may appear in the lower right corner of the window this (it appears when it is minimized). Click on this icon and the logcat window should appear again.

Right Click LogCat Icon Logcat icon and uncheck the "Quick view" checkbox so that the default settings are restored. It worked for me.
