Any tutorials on AppWidgetHost?

I am writing an application that should be able to place widgets on the main screen and show these widgets in the application itself. I believe that the best way to do this is to use AppWidgetHost for the application part.

I look around, but I cannot find good examples of how to write AppWidgetHosts. Have any of you done this and are willing to share? Or do you know any tutorials that I missed?
