Unable to drag behavior in Expression Blend

When I launched Expression Blend 4 (for Windows Phone 7), I have all the behavior (in assets) loaded:

I want to add MouseDragElementBehavior to a rectangle in my project.

But, as soon as I drag the behavior onto the rectangle, all actions "disappear":

My version of Expression Blend 4 is 4.0.30816.0. Why does this problem occur? I did a reinstall, but the problem persists.

I was just trying to recreate this in my system, but it worked correctly. Can you check the version number of Blend? Mine - 4.0.20901.0

In Blend, I don't think dragging and dropping will necessarily be bad practice. There are areas where this can cause you troubles, such as data binding and removal of visual elements on the screen, as a rule, leave you to work with cleaning. At the same time, with the behavior, I believe that drag and drop is the preferred method of linking them to elements.

I have this problem too. I made this decision:

  • Create a Windows Phone Project in Visual Studio
  • In the Links folder from Solution Explorer, right-click and select Add Link ...
  • In the .NET tab, select the "Microsoft.Expression.interactions" component
  • Click ok
  • Open this project in Blend
  • Try adding your behavior to an object in TimeLine

I believe that you cannot use Behaviors in a Windows Phone 7.0 project, only in a Windows Phone 7.1 project with Silverlight 4.

Nothing seems to work with project 7.0 too ...
