Git Various Windows crashes with submodules

Question

Using msysgit in windows, whenever I do git diff in a repository with a submodule or multiple commands (and also PowerShell).

Is this known, but is there a fix / workaround? Can submodules be excluded from diff?

 PS Z:\www\gittest> git --version git version 1.7.6.msysgit.0

I cannot reproduce such problems with diff and submodules, but if you don't care about diff subodules, you can do:

 git diff --ignore-submodules

I fixed this by installing Microsoft kb2458000 (The conhost.exe process crashes when the application crashes from Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2) .
