In-app purchase of iOS when purchasing multiple items, such as loans.

Confirm the purchase of your application. You want to buy one 5 credits for $ 3.99.

where it would be better to have a dialogue that said: You want to buy 5 credits for $ 3.99.

Anyone else come across this? Is there a way to improve the text of the dialogue?

Yes, I came across this. :-) I do not think there is a way to change this wording, unfortunately. (Although it must be!)

The only thing you control is the name of the item being acquired. I ran into this myself. Your only alternative (at least I know) is to name your IAP products so that they "read well" in this dialog box. Thus, your “5 credits” could be better called the “Credit 5 Pack”. When you read "Do you want to buy one 5-Pack loan for $ 3.99?" at least it sounds like english .:-)
